NEW HAVEN, CT – Yale scored two first period goals and coasted to a 4-1 victory over Ramapo.
Yale got on scoreboard first when Eric Fein beat Ramapo goalie Keith Gay at 8:16. Dylan Gastel assisted on the play. Ramapo knotted the score at 1 on a goal by Dmitry Danilchik at 11:28. Nolan Ouellette and Pat Anzano were credited with assists. The tie was short-lived just 36 seconds later at 12:02 when Dylan Gastel found the back of the Ramapo net to give the Bulldogs a 2-1 lead after one period.
Justin DAmrosio scored the only goal of the second period at 8:08 to give Yale a 3-1 lead. Assists were awarded to Eric Fein and Will Theiss.
Neither team could mount much an offensive in the third period. Dylan Gastel scored an unassisted goal, his second of the game, at 13:40 of the third. Gastel ended the game with two goals and an assist.
