NEWARK, NJ –  The Roadrunners win back-to-back games for the first time this season after a resounding 10-2 victory over the Stevens Ducks.  The Roadrunners last faced the Ducks in January and dealt them a similar fate, posting a 7-0 shutout win.

The October 21st victory against the Ducks could only be described as a full team effort, with six different players contributing goals to the impressive tally.  Josh Filipovits, Keith Henning, and Pat Callinan all earned their first goals of the season.  For Callinan, who earned two goals and an assist, this marked the junior defenseman’s first (and second) career goal at the college level.

Stevens found the back of the net early at 6:07 in the first and took a 1-0 lead on the Roadrunners.  Ramapo remained quiet for most of the first period, suffering from a few poor turnovers in the neutral zone.  The momentum shifted with five minutes left in the period when Keith Doherty tallied the Roadrunner’s first of the night for a 1-1 tie.  Ramapo scored three more times in the remaining minutes of the period, with goals from Josh Filipovits at 16:24, Patrick Callinan at 18:10, and Doherty again at 18:10, to end the period up 4-1.

Stevens second and final goal of the night came at 8:17 the second period when they were on a power play resulting from a Keith Henning tripping call.  Ramapo’s dominant offense was on full display for the final 40 minutes of play through the final two periods, with six more goals. Scoring for the Roadrunners were: Patrick Callinan (his second of the night), Kyle DeBel (with both a power play and a shorthanded goal), Keith Henning, and Bobby Spetz (scoring twice; one goal at even strength, one shorthanded).
