WAYNE, NJ – Early in the season, the Roadrunners blew by teams. However, the second half of the season, the team struggles for wins. This game was no exception. Ramapo jumped off to a quick 3-0 lead just 7 minutes into the game. Derek Sabato opened with a power play goal at 1:58 on an assist by Gary Ragusa. Kyle DeBel upped the score to 2-0 at 6:40. Keith Doherty received and assist. Just 15 seconds later, Keith Doherty from Bobby Spetz made the score 3-0. It appeared that the old Roadrunners were back. However, instead of finishing off the Braves, they let them back in the game. Quinnipiac cut the score to 3-2 with a power play goal at 11:13 and an equal-strength goal at 13:24. That would end the scoring for the period. Neither team scored in the second period. Ramapo took a one goal lead into the third period. However, Quinnipiac would tie the score at 3 at 9:05. Regulation time ended in a tie which sent the game into a 4-on-4 five-minute overtime. It didn’t take long for Ramapo to ice the win. Ragusa scored from Debel at 1:16. Ramapo made what appeared to be a rout into a struggle. The Roadrunners next opponent is Western Connecticut State on 2/1/19 at 8:00 at Ice Vault.
